How has the world of IT changed in 2022?

2022 will forever be for Ukrainians a year that brought huge changes! But how has the world of the IT industry changed, and with what results are we going in 2023?

It should be noted that before the war, the Ukrainian IT industry was one of the largest exporters of IT services in Europe. Yes, our specialists are highly valued abroad☝🏻

Moreover, the volume grew by 25-30% annually, and accounted for as much as 4% of the GDP of our native Ukraine)

Has this indicator changed in 2022? Yes, and to everyone's surprise, this indicator even increased. According to forecasts, the IT industry will bring $7.1 billion in export revenue and will grow by 2.2% compared to the volume of 2021) Can you imagine how powerful we are?

Despite the extremely difficult working conditions, war, blackout, and explosions... we not only did not stop, but we are also growing!

But the forced changes affected everyone) The biggest challenges for companies this year were:

• migration of employees and their families, relocation of companies;
• ban on the departure of IT specialists abroad;
• the commitment of employees to military service;
• retention of clients and minimization of risks in working with clients;
• currency regulation and restrictions introduced by the NBU.
  

70.8% of IT companies carried out unplanned relocation, a quarter of them - full. 16.7% of companies made a full or partial move abroad.

But, a nuance that warms the soul - that 81.5% of IT companies that moved abroad still plan to return their business to Ukraine 💙💛 Of course, under the condition of canceling martial law and a complete cessation of hostilities.

What are we leading to... what if it wasn't hard for us - we never give up! And we always rise only higher!
