The syndrome of missed opportunities (FOMO) is a psychological condition in which a person feels that he has missed out on a certain benefit. The specialist feels as if he missed his chance for an interesting project or a place in the company. However, this does not always correspond to the real picture, remember that you can only compare yourself with yourself in the past.

Analyze your previous month of work and answer three questions:

  • have you encountered tasks of increased complexity?
  • did you need to learn something new to solve the problem?
  • have you turned to a more experienced specialist for advice?

If the answer to all three questions is no, then your current role is not fulfilling your full potential. Assess whether this is a temporary phenomenon or whether you have been working at this pace for a long time.

It's never too late to learn, and a large number of switchers (people who have changed the type of activity) proves that with the emergence of new professions, you can reach a better level of income, get a more convenient schedule, or even change your office to a cozy home office.

Remember that only when you fully spread your wings you can feel the flight.
